Madison-Grant Core Values
The following Madison-Grant Core Values were adopted at the Monday, March 16, 2009 school board meeting. 1. Integrity- Doing what you say you are going to do, adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty. 2. Continuous Improvement- Showing growth and progress in learning and teaching; an ongoing effort to improve education services or processes, and student learning; these efforts can seek “incremental” improvement overtime or “breakthrough” improvement all at once. 3. High Expectations- Raising the bar, requiring more from our students. 4. Accountability- Holding people responsible for their performances and behaviors; obligation or willingness to accept responsibility. 5. Data Driven Decision-Making- The process of collecting student data—academic performance, attendance, demographics, etc. 6. Teamwork- A joint action by two or more persons or a group, in which each person subordinates his or her individual interests and opinions to the unity and efficiency of the group. 7. Safety- Protected against physical, social, spiritual, financial, emotional, occupational, psychological, educational, or other types of consequences of failure, damage, error, accidents, or harm. 8. Alignment- Eliminating gaps and overlaps with standards; clear, common direction and communication that promotes people working toward mutually intelligible goals.
